Paintings of your pet from photos by award-winning artist in California

Work in progress

I start with a sketch to get the composition and positioning right. When that's done, the first things I paint are usually the eyes because they are the most important feature and I concentrate on them for a couple of days.  Once I'm happy with them, I get on with the rest body and then complete the background at the end.

Right now I'm making good progress with portraits of Henry, on the left,  and Casey Jane.
