I work from your photographs and from information you provide me about your pet's natural pose and appearance. If you live within reach and I can take my own photographs, so much the better. I do single portraits, doubles and sometimes triples. I can get your portrait framed as well if required.

I am a prize-winning artist based in Laguna Beach, Orange County, California. I specialize in pet portraits and work mainly from photographs. It doesn't matter where you live, we can work together by e-mail and regular mail to complete the portrait.

My cards of some of the more interesting and attractive local landmarks are collected by residents as well as visitors. I can make cards of your pet portrait for you to share with friends and family.

The way I work to make a pet portrait is very simple. I will ask you for two or three photographs that give me a clear impression of your pet's face, coat color and texture, as well as any background you would like included in the painting.You can send me photos by e-mail, or through the regular mail if you prefer.
When your painting is nearly finished I will e-mail you a progress photo. You can then ask for any adjustments you think necessary.
My payment terms are a check for $100 on agreement, with the balance payable on completion.
Prices start at $200 (excluding California state tax, currently 7.75 per cent) for a single subject in sizes up to 12 x 12 inches and thereafter depend on the size of the portrait and the number of pets. Portraits 11 x 14 and 12 x 16 inches are $250. Portraits 16 x 20 and 20 x 20 inches are $300. Add $50 for two subjects in one painting. The price of portraits with three or more subjects is by negotiation. Shipping costs are extra. I can provide frames when required.
